Dental Crown Treatment
Interested in getting dental crowns? Our experienced dentists, dental surgeries and hospitals make the process painless. Here’s how your care plan with MEDeTOURISM works.
MEDeTOURISM dental clinics are committed to excellence and ensuring you are taken care of before, during and after treatment. Read about our dental care process below.
Your consultation before your procedure
Once you make a booking, you can speak to one of our consultants or with the dentist at your chosen hospital or clinic. You will have time to ask any questions you like about your treatment, your travel arrangements and any information about flights and accommodation if you’re traveling internationally.
Your dentist will also discuss the dental crown procedure with you in detail. Your dentist will ask you questions to determine what type of crown you require. Options include ceramic, porcelain, resin and stainless steel. They will also ask whether you have any considerations such as cosmetic requests such as tinting. You may need to submit some documents. This can all be done securely via the MEDeTOURISM platform.
While you travel
Our hospitals provide you with the exact dates of your treatment and, if necessary, arrange ground transport for you from your house to the hospital or hotel. If your trip involves international travel then they can guide you on when is best to arrive and provide some deals with their travel partners. If you are getting treated internationally, the hospital or dental clinic will ensure you are well taken care of with any translation services and can provide you with assistance with any arrangements you need made upon arriving.
Your itinerary is in very good hands when you book your healthcare through MEDeTOURISM.
Your dental crown procedure
Booking your treatment with MEDeTOURISM ensures that you get only the most skilled and experienced dentists anywhere in the world. Dental crowns are often performed over two sessions, each of which lasts under three hours.
The first is a pre-assessment. Your dentist will examine your teeth, file down your teeth slightly and take an imprint. This will then be sent off to a laboratory where your new crowns are custom-built to fit your mouth using the latest technology. You will be fitted with a temporary crown until your next appointment. Your second appointment will often be 3-5 days later. Your dentist will remove your temporary crown and fix your new one using a special adhesive. Your hospital and surgeon will be able to provide you with a more specific time frame.
Your hospital can also assist you with hotel bookings and transport during your stay should you require any extra accommodation or if you would like to do some local travel during your stay.
After your treatment and during recovery
Congratulations you’re all done! Once your treatment at your selected hospital or clinic is complete and you have been discharged, you are all set. Take the time to enjoy some quiet time in your hotel, or to relax in the sun during and after your treatments. MEDeTOURISM and your selected treatment centre can help you arrange local travel and hotel bookings should you want to extend your stay at all.
Your return journey and arriving home
Your hospital will check in on you and ensure that you’ve got everything in order and ready to go. If you have any questions, they’re available to help. Any medical documents and important information will be provided to you in your language.
With everything finalised, you can jet back home and start flashing around your new smile. A MEDeTOURISM specialist will be available for a phone consultation to ensure everything is fine once you land.
